The Largest Rainbow I Have Ever Seen Caught On The North Platte River!

We are finally starting to have some nice weather. We are long overdue for summer to arrive! However, our extended winter and spring has kept our water levels high and really cold. This will insure that we will have great water conditions and wonderful fishing all summer long!

My brother had a client named Doug Schultz who caught a rainbow that
measured 29 1/4 inches! This is the biggest rainbow I have ever seen caught on
this river, weighing well over 10 pounds!

As you can also see by the recent trophy pictures we have been catching some huge browns as well.

We have been doing real well on dry flies recently when a cloud passes over and the wind is light. BWO's, midge clusters, and adam's dries have been the flies of choice. Our nymph rigs haven't changed much. I have gone with a little longer leader and a little more weight but the fly set ups are the same (egg patterns leeches, rock worms, & bwo nymphs.)
