Changing Leaves, Crisp Mornings, and Big Fish!

The mornings are crisp, the leaves are turning colors, the hatches are strong, and the fish are hungry! We have had an incredible year of fishing! I don't remember fishing ever being as good here in the 15 years I've been guiding here as it has been this year! The river has dropped down to it's winter flows of 500 c.f.s. and has become crystal clear. We are getting great trico, bwo, pmd, caddis, midge, and crane fly hatches right now. We also still have plenty of hoppers around making for great surface explosions from huge fish. We have even caught some great browns on hoppers recently. Our biggest fish of the day have been typically been taken on hoppers. Fish ranging from 18 to 25 inches. Nymph fishing has really been productive with fish numbers caught around 50 per angler per day. If you like streamer fishing then now is the time to come battle these giants beasts on big bugs. This is the time of year where streamer fishing is at it's best and the fish of a lifetime is just 1 cast away! We are expecting that the fishing will stay strong clear through November and we should catch some really huge browns this fall as they begin their spawning preparation. Our schedule is filling fast but we do still have room in the cabins and with guides on the water. Take advantage of the best fishing ever on the best trout fishery in the lower 48 and come experience the fly fishing trip of a lifetime. If you want to fish on your own that's fine you are still welcome to rent one of our first class cabins right on the bank of the beautiful North Platte River. If you have any questions or want to set something up give me a shout at 307-331-2031. Hope you have a great and prosperous fall! I look forward to seeing you soon! God Bless!
