Yellow Leaves, Crisp Mornings, & Big Trout

Hey there fishing friends. We are steadily moving along in our construction progress on the river. Cabins are being delivered next week and hope to be set by mid October. We will be renting the cabins out starting next year. We are very excited about this and hope it improves the fishing experience for you the Cowboy Drifter fishing family. The fly shop is coming along and will be in full function next season as well. We will be carrying everything an angler will need to have to benefit his/her trip including anything else they may need for future trips.

The fishing here is as hot as ever. I can definitely say that I have been on the river everyday for quite some time now and the river is as hot as I have seen it this year. Great numbers with a very healthy average size keeps me getting up each morning excited for the day. Streamers are the hot ticket right now as well, as the top water bugs. Dry fly fishing has been improving each day and with a cloud or two you can experience a dry fly frenzy of a lifetime. Anthony Stelakis stuck a 21 inch bow today on a size 18 BWO dry. Talk about exciting. BWO's, PMD's, Caddis, and Crane Flies are the choice hatch right now.

Take a day and get out to enjoy our wonderful Casper area. The leaves are changing and the mornings are delightfully crisper so don't waste a day caught up in the hustle and bustle. Remember you only get so many sunrises so enjoy them while you can. Everyone, take care and let us know if there is anything we can do for you. Thanks again for being a wonderful part of our lives.
