FLUSH+PRESPAWN=BIG FISH!!!!!!!

I'm going to start with this to get you a little excited about what we've been up to lately.

Check out Lil' Eastman with his giant Platte river Hog, and Matt and Dan, and Larry and Dave and Joe and so on and so on. The fishing is red hot and no other way to put it. We have seen fish sipping dries, we have slammed huge fish on streamers, nymphing is always good (with the exception of the day my poor folks drove up here to spend the day with me on "mud creek". They can fly fish too. No visibility and dazed and confused fish combined to make for a little slower day. They caught fish it just wasn't like our normal 50-75 fish day. Note to self and everyone else....first day of the flush.......dirty water.) The streamer bite is back on pretty good. The other day I got to take an old buddy Dave Woodward and his friend Joe down after the flush and streamers was the ticket. Dave's first fish was a beautiful 22 plus inch rainbow, his next fish was big hen brown, and yep you guessed it, his third fish was a giant pure cutthroat. That is folks the North Platte Slam. Some say you include the cuttbow in that which he caught several of later in the day anyway so way to go Dave. Joe wacked several real big fish as well. The ticket was olive and of course tan/white. The Home Lumber crew brought their big sticks again and showed us again that they are a forse to be reconed with. Dan Lowe caught a HUGE cuttbow, while Bruce, Larry and Dan had to settle for only several 20 plus inch pigs. Our nymphing set-up has been as constent as the wyoming wind. Red rock-worms in size 6-14, leeches in any color sizes 6's and 8's, and dropping off midges in tan, brown, or black sizes 18-20. Pretty simple!!! Anyway, I have to get back on the river today so I'd better get going. I know Tom Cooper and his crew are chomping at the bit to get their fish on the next fishing report. Till then.......go fishing and remember if you can see them in fast current on gravel.....THEY ARE SPAWNING! Help us preserve our wonderful natural river. Thank's for everything that you all do for us!!
