The BWO's Have Arrived!!!!

Well, sorry for slacking on the fishing updates but Cowboy Drifters has been extremely busy. The weather has been outstanding for the most part the last couple of weeks, well an occasional snow storm, but the wind has been pretty mild. With the lack of wind and nice weather we have been able to actually see some BWO's on the water
before the wind blows them away. The fish are starting to come up to the top for blue wings on the lower stretches, as far as Bessemer Bend, but just a few. It will start to get real good here in the next couple of weeks and I am pretty sure a person could get some good dry fly action soon. We have still been spending most our time on the Reef section because it is hard to leave those big fish up there. We are still consistently catching lots and lots of fish every day using the rock worm (size 16-12), WD-40 (size 18/olive), orange egg (any size) and the occasional leech in the late afternoon. We have had some great group trips in lately and would just like to thank some of the the boys from Cali (that's their plane), the boys
from Kittery Point, Maine & and other places (The guys with the double hook up,), The Padlock Ranch & First Interstate Bank Boys, and everyone else that chooses to come have fun with the good ol' Cowboy Drifters. If it wasn't for all of you we wouldn't be fishing for a living that's for sure.
Thanks again and I better get back to my school work, only two weeks left. Yipeeeeeeeee!!!!!
See ya on the water or in my boat,
mark
