HAPPY EASTER!!!!!!!

What a big fish day, or morning, we had. These two loyal Cowboy Drifter clients are the kings of half-days. They always seem to catch tons of fish and big ones too by noon, and then they have the rest of the day to fulfill their other hobbies I guess. Well, whatever it is it works for them. We had a great morning and had lots of nice fish in the boat on the usual. Rock worm---------egg----------, seems funny but that's all it takes here this time of year. You don't have to get too technical with your patterns. Virtually any size of orange or chartreuse egg, and basically anything from a 10-16 on the rock worm.
This is such a great time of year to be a guide, the flies you have to tie take 10 minutes a dozen, and is all you need is two flies. I have had a couple days in the last week that we have the same exact two flies on the rod at the end of the day that we started with, and had fifty fish in the net. May be it's not that easy for everyone, or maybe I just have the lucky boat. IF YOU DON"T BELIEVE ME.........COME SEE IT FOR YOURSELF.
But, the fish are holding on the inside seems since the water is around 1700 cfs. That's the catch, most people are still centering up on the runs where these North Platte fish are lazy and they like the softer water on the insides. Just a quick tip ya might want to hold on to for next time.

Well enough from me, I got to get packed and headed to Wheatland to see my family for Easter (I am way excited to see my family, especially my nephew Cael. I just had to put him in here so you can all see him). I hope everyone has a wonderful Easter, safe travels and keep em' tight with Cowboy Drifters.

One more thing------Jase and I, and all of our guides would like to thank all of our Cowboy Drifter Family (thats all of you.....yah, the clients) for making our first spring such a great one so far. We appreciate your business and will continue to work hard to be the best outfit on the river. Thanks guys and gals,
