Two HUGE Browns in One Day!!!!!

Well it was a long awaited reunion of one of my childhood friends, and an old fishin' buddy. If I knew that you could catch fish like they did today, and is all it took was years of procrastinating, everyone out there might give it a shot. Just kiddin, don't wait because fishing is red hot right now. I was joined today by my childhood friend, Levi Mickelsen, and old fishing buddy, his dad, Mick Mickelsen. Levi and his dad purchased the trip at a Pheasants Forever Banquet, which was donated by Cowboy Drifters. Levi is the one with the bigger brown, his dad felt sorry for him. Again I am jokin, but Mick wasn't gonna let Levi totally out do him. We had to deal with a little cold but absolutely no wind to speak of. WOW I know. We seemed to catch fish consistently all day long on chocolate midges (size 20), and a few on the ol' rock worm (size 12). I had a great day on the river as usual, but today was extra special spending some long awaited fishing time with some great friends. It seems to be a trend in my boat, the more fun you have, the bigger the fish. All of you fisherman out there better come join us on the river because guess what, those browns were released for the next Cowboy Drifter to hook em up!!!! And guess what else, I know what they like to eat....

Fish are starting to stage up in some of the runs, no fish on the redds yet but it won't be long. Just a reminder we want to leave ALL spawning fish ALONE, even if it is a hog. There are plenty non-spawning fish to be caught so lets take good care of our wonderful resource and educate fellow fisherman of proper spring fishing etiquette. JUST A REMINDER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THE SPRING FLUSH IS SCHEDULED FOR MARCH 20th-24th!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
